The deal
SAS is offering round-trip flights from Newark to Amsterdam for $364, connecting through Oslo each way. The great-deal threshold for Europe is $450, and this comes in $86 below that mark. A two-week window from December 6 to December 21 gives plenty of room to plan a proper trip, and the return on December 21 lands you home the first night of Chanukah.
How to book
Book through Aviasales or check SAS directly to confirm availability. SAS Go fares have carry-on restrictions on some routes, so verify baggage allowances before purchasing. The Oslo connection adds time but SAS is generally reliable on this routing from Newark.
Shabbos fit
Departure is Sunday, December 6; the return is Monday, December 21. Both travel days are weekdays, well clear of Shabbos. You will spend two Shabbosim in Amsterdam (Dec 12 and Dec 19). Amsterdam has a strong Jewish infrastructure including the Rav Aron Schuster synagogue community, the Kosher Community Center, and several certified kosher restaurants. Plan meals and accommodations near the Jewish Quarter.
