NYC to Tel Aviv Round Trip for $828 on TAP Air Portugal

The deal
TAP Air Portugal is showing a round-trip fare from New York to Tel Aviv for $828, routed through Lisbon and Madrid. That is well under the $900 threshold we consider a strong Israel fare. It is a two-stop itinerary, so travel time is long, but the price more than makes up for it. Dates are Sunday, November 29 outbound and Sunday, December 6 returning.

How to book
Click through to Aviasales and complete the booking directly with TAP or the partner site shown. Verify the full itinerary and baggage fees before paying. Two-stop fares can have tight connections, so check each layover time carefully. This kind of price can disappear within hours, so do not wait if the dates work for you.

Shabbos fit
Both travel days fall on Sunday, which is ideal. November 29 is the day after Shabbos Parshas Toldos, and December 6 is the day after Shabbos Parshas Vayeitzei. Candle lighting in Tel Aviv for that Friday, December 4, is around 4:20 pm local time, giving you most of the week in Israel. Kosher meals on TAP require advance request; confirm at booking. Tel Aviv and Jerusalem have extensive kosher dining options.
